Hey Richard, the storms in this part of the country are "fun" sometimes. I am a lot better equipped for them now than I was before. I got some awesome rain gear from Cabela's and am ready for it now.
Sometimes a storm will blow in and go just south of you or just north of you or whatever miss you all together. Usually when you notice it is coming to you it is already on you. I got soaked that day man...lol.

As for the video, I use a Sony Cybershot camera for all of my videos on the water. I bought a nice JVC camera but it doesn't get wide enough to use it on the boat. My camera is mounted on the center console.
Sony Vegas is awesome video software. It is easy to use and powerful enough for editing videos of this kind. It is not movie pro quality, but it is 89 bucks and works great for me.

All I can think of on your bad video is maybe you have the cam on zoom? The better video comes from a wider angle where movements aren't as noticeable.

Thanks for reading. I hope to get again out sooner or later. Between work and rain, I have done no fishing lately.

Very nice video. That storm looks all to familiar. lol.

How is it that you get your video to look so clear on youtube?
I have just bought a new sony handycam and I use windows movie maker
Unfortunatley I have found out that is not the way to go. My video
looks horrible when I put it on youtube. Any suggestions?

I'm seriously hooked on your blog now.
